More for Less? Fast-Food Competition Means Lower Prices for You

It is well known that competition between major companies and corporations fuels savings on the consumer end of the market, but the fast-food industry may not be as well known for this trend as, say, the gas industry. However, I have recently seen an occasion worth talking about, and although knowledge of this food-battle is known to some, I would like to get it out to those who haven't seen it, and (try my best to) save people some money. Now to the savings - where will you find these major discounts? At the fast-food giants Burger King and Wendy's.

Wendy's vs. BK: More for Less?

Wendy's recently introduced a 4 for 4$ deal. This meal included a bacon cheeseburger, a small fry, a four-piece chicken-nugget box, and a small drink. Just four dollars. Yeah - pretty great, huh? But wait - there's more! Burger King shoots back with a superior deal of it's own! It has everything in the 4 for 4$ deal, with one added benefit: a cookie. The score is 5-4, with BK having the advantage. The result is the following twitter war, viewed by many, and humorous to all.

This battle progressed until Wendy's suggested that Burger King's food was inedible. I mean, it's certainly not a five-star-restaurant, but that seems kinda harsh. Wendy's comment was later removed. All this debate making you hungry? Cash in on some of these tasty deals and try Wendy's "4 for 4", or BK's "5 for 4" today.
